My car has just been damaged by hail! What should I do Next?
First we hope everyone is ok. After the storm has passed, and it is safe to do so, check for damage. Carefully inspect your car for the most important parts to verify if it is safe to drive. Check your glass, lights, sunroofs, etc. This is important not only for safety but also for road legal compliance. If any of these items are damaged, you may want to consider a tow. Some damage can be so severe that it is unsafe to drive with any of these broken parts. We do offer pick up and delivery services if towing is not an option, or if you don't feel safe driving it. Next, check your insurance policy coverage. Most full coverage policies include "comprehensive" allowance for situations just like this. In almost all cases, filing a claim for hail repair will not affect your premium. Once coverage is confirmed, call your claims service number, usually located on the ID card, and set up the claim. The rep will advise you of your next steps to process the repair of your car. You reserve the right to choose any repair facility to fix your car, you do not have to follow their recommendations. In most cases, your insurance will want to inspect the damage first by either physical or virtual appraisal. At that point, they will process the claim and issue you payment that you can use to pay a shop for the hail repairs. We make estimation easy! We use the same software that insurance companies use to appraise damage so you can trust our prices to be fair and accurate. In many cases, we will meet or beat our competitor's cost to earn your business. We offer a virtual preliminary estimation service that you can use on this website. Just fill in the survey on the home page or you can chat with us direct. You can upload photos and get an official estimate that you can use to submit to your insurance or shop around for comparable pricing. The estimates are free and we can usually build them same day. Some estimates may require a physical inspection along with a teardown to be completely accurate, this may increase the total cost of repair. I just got into a small wreck! What now?
FOR SMALL/MINOR, NON INJURY ACCIDENTS: First, confirm that everyone is ok! Cars and parts are easily replaced, lives and limbs are not...
Take pictures and document as much as you safely can. If possible, get the other party's contact and insurance info. Depending on the location and severity of the accident, it may be necessary to call the police. A police report will aid the insurance companies in determining fault. If you choose to let your insurance company examine the loss, then call a claims rep right away and follow their directions. If it is safe to do so, collect any broken parts from the scene that may look pertinent to the repair of your vehicle. Sometimes these pieces help us properly asses an accurate repair estimate. If a tow is needed, have it towed to the location of your choice. We accept tow ins, just give us a call and we'll take over from there.
